BIOGAS REVOLUTION
victoria falls, zimbabwe . 2019
The Jafuta Foundation, a Zimbabwean non-profit organization dedicated to fostering balance between communities, wildlife, conservation, education, and culture, believes that clean fuel should be more accessible in rural areas, where wood remains the primary source of cooking fuel. This belief inspired their initiative to introduce biogas converters in selected rural homes. Biogas, a natural by-product of cow manure, offers a sustainable energy alternative—and in rural Zimbabwe, nearly every household owns at least one cow, making this solution both practical and impactful.
